Easters
We had a great Easters, thanks to Nacho Libre this is the new name of Easter around here. We usually do our Easter baskets (bowls) on Saturday, along with a hunt, and then Sunday we have a nice meal and talk about what Easter is really about.
EASTER BOWLS
All bowls come with a small $5-$10 gift. Jax and Rylon got kites, Eyrlin a little dress, Broden Bubbles, and Canon a much needed summer outfit. Oh, and John received “Where the Red Fern Grows”, an inside joke with my hubby, and I received socks.
HUNT/PLAYING AT THE PARK ALL MORNING
Broden loved the hunt!! He kept his eggs and played for days after with anyone who would hide them for him.
Eyrlin was careful about counting her eggs, but when she was done she had 19 instead of 12. I said, “Oops Eyrlin, you got more then you were suppose to, that’s put some back.” Her response, “No I didn’t, I meant to get 20.”
Canon was confined to a stroller during the hunt (didn’t want him to get trampled), poor guy. After awhile, he explored the park and people. Canon is such a joy!
Rylon brought his kite to the park and had a lot of fun. The wind was on his side and the kite flew quite well.
Jax was a sport and shared his kite with everyone. There was a line at his kite position.
It was a nice Easters!!
BARFING
Let me tell you about the flu we have had, it was HORRIBLE!!! Sunday Canon spit up, he usually does from time to time. Monday morning I got hosed with barf and that is how my week of sickness began. Canon started throwing up on Monday and ended Saturday. Rylon started Wednesday and ended Friday. I started Thursday along with Broden and Eyrlin, I ended later that day and they are still slightly sick. I have never heard of such craziness before. It was a little sad to watch my little ones go day after day carrying around a bucket and begging to eat only to throw is up 5 minutes later.
This was comfortable to him because it was cold. It was so sad!
Eyrlin was in her room most of the time. So sad!!
We missed our energetic kids and can’t wait till everyone is back to normal.
MISC.
John and I have been guilty of playing a lot of phone games during this long road of barfing. Thanks to MILAS HOWE!! That’s right, I’m calling you out, we have been addicted to the Bubble Shooter game. Don’t play it, save yourselves!! Canon is now addicted to the Bubble Shooter game, it’s crazy.
I have to take a small moment and express much gratitude for this handsome guy here. John has been working like a mad man, late nights, long hours. During this week of barfing babies, I haven’t been able to cook, clean, laundry (because it’s always full of bedding, towels, etc.) or take a moment to listen to him, pamper him, answer his phone calls, or anything.
Saturday night, I selfishly hit the wall of exhaustion and John literally sent me to bed at 8pm. When I woke Sunday morning, he had been up with sick kids all night, cleaned house the night before, and started dinner for me before he left for a 6AM meeting, crockpot. It reminded me of what a great partnership I have with this man. I felt so guilty going to bed without getting my work done, but it was so nice to wake up to it being all done. I spent my Sunday snuggled on the couch with two sick kids, and was able to give them my full attention with no worries. It was relaxing and refreshing to be able to start my Sunday that way when I wasn’t expecting it.
John is one in a million, billion, trillion, infinity!!
Now I am back to the household duties, it gives me more motivation to make things perfect for his arrival after a long days work. Life is almost back to normal.
