Embracing Summer: Part 2

This week was a little off but still awesome. Everyday this week they got to pick a movie to watch. We watched Scooby Doo, The Wild, Over the Hedge, Mall Cop, and Rapunzel. I am so glad we don't watch TV everyday, this was a little overwhelming for me. I never sit down for more then 10 minutes for a nursing. So, really, this was good for me to sit with the kids and watch some favorites of theirs.

We also headed to Bass Pro Shop and walked around enjoying the dream of boats and four wheelers. Oh, and a giant fish tank. This trip quickly came to an end thanks to Canon's persistence. Canon was crying and would not get comfy for the life of him. I finally gave up on the sling and handed him to John who quickly discovered yellow poo all over his hand. I looked down and the sling was covered, I was covered, and Canon was covered. I looked at John and said, "Well, I guess Canon is ready to go home." I stripped him naked, wrapped him in a blanket, and out we went. Canon was a party "pooper"!

We also manged to enjoy a night of a few fireworks and dinner with my sister. Not too shabby!

My kids enjoy coming up with things to do for the week and I love it.

I am totally getting back to normal and it feels GREAT! My house is clean again, my laundry is caught up, and the smell of dinner greets my husband as he walks in the door. I even manage to wake at 6am to shower, read, pray, makeup, and get dressed. I even invited some friends over for dinner this week, babysat, attended a baby shower, and conquered Costco with all five kids. It's such a blessing to be back to me in such a short amount of time, but something I have been praying for.

I must admit that I'm envious that you have the motivation to get up and get yourself ready before the kids...awesome!! The idea of having the kids help plan things for the week is a great one which we may have to implement around here.

Having prayers answered is always faith promoting. :)
