Shout Out....

Every once in a while, I feel an overwhelming amount of gratitude, and today it really hit me. Some of my peeps are those I have served with for 2 ½ years as Relief Society President. I love them, and love that I can see how their families are through the blogging world.

This shout out is for them.

Shanna – You were my best friend. You helped me look at situations with a whole new set of eyes. I appreciate all the love and support you showed me. Oh, and the many, many hours of phone conversations.

Jolene – You gave everyone the benefit of the doubt and had their best interest at heart. My favorite thing about you was the time I wanted to take Relief Society manuals to all 270 something women in the ward. The list was extensive and you were so supportive of reaching out with me. There were many hours spent trying to get those books out. You saw what needed to be done and you did it. Thank you! I was so sad when you moved away.

Betsy – You taught me the most important thing about being a President and that was LOVE. Your example of love was nothing I had ever experienced before, it was amazing to watch you. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!

Cami – Knowledge… Your wisdom was so inspired on many occasions. I knew I could always count on some great insight from you. You constantly taught me through words and through the spirit. You have such an amazing gift!

Amy – You have such a sweet, sensitivity to the spirit. I know you had a busy life with your husband in the bishopric, but it never seemed to overwhelm you in the least bit. What you gave to the sisters in the ward was more then I ever expected.

Amanda – Holy organized and talented. I was so sad to see you guys move. I was so thankful for you ability to give and give and give and give. You always kept me smiling!

Bridget – You taught me to be myself. I will never forget the lesson learned there. You became such an amazing friend to me. You got me to eat fish and enjoy it. Having someone to talk to and open up to meant a lot to me. You are such an amazing friend. I’m sure Aubree and Nicole would agree (just so you know she was my friend first, I think).

Sheri – I just love you. You were always trying to bring the women together and your efforts were not unnoticed!! You have such a great heart and I saw that.

I know that part of who I am today is because of the women who have touched my life. I thank you for every counsel you gave, for every encouraging word, for every prayer offered, for every ounce of love you showed, for sustaining me, and for holding me up when times got rough. You truly were an instrument in the hands of God.

To all the ladies who were in the El Mirage Ward during this time. You were well served by these women and I know they loved each of you very much.

I love you all and miss you tons!!

Wow! You were the RS President? That is a huge calling! There is so much that goes on behind the scenes in every ward and I'm sure your hands were full. I'll bet the women were glad to have you.

Aw muffin!! Kathy you are so sweet. Those were the good old days, weren't they. It's hard to believe how much has changed just since that short time ago. I miss you always, and will always consider you a real friend.
