February and March

February and March brought on a lot of fun as a family. I just love the crew I live with. Everyone has a specific personality that contributes just nicely.

John and I are very much the same. I am 5’7 he is 5’11, just the same.

I had a birthday this month, it was great! John was very thoughtful and extended my birthday from Friday (my actually birthday) till Sunday. At this point in my life, it’s hard to fit a birthday in which is why I don’t remember how old I am now. We were so busy that three days later we realized we never sang the traditional song, Happy Birthday, and blew the candles out! Sad? Not really. I would much rather people sing something to me like, “She is bringing Sexy Back” or “Every little thing she does is magic” or “Isn’t she lovely” or “You’ve got the right stuff…” or “I get lost in your eyes..” or “She’s the Queen of rock, there is none higher” or well you get the picture.

Disneyland!! The family made a goal to read the WHOLE Book of Mormon last year before Jax turned 8. Through the process we decided to reward ourselves with a trip to Disneyland. When we finished we realized that the expense of a trip like that would for sure never happen. With some very thoughtful family members, we made it to Disneyland for FREE!! We have started the Book of Mormon again and decided our reward this round would be dinner at Red Robin instead. As you could imagine the kids were not happy.

Last week, we celebrated the birthday of Broden, who is now 3. Broden was the cheapest birthday EVER, all he wanted was a motorcycle, with a guy, and a helmet. He got it!! The kids get to choose the events of the day and what they want for dinner. Broden chose the park and dinner at home. So easy!

Broden is a very sweet boy, who wants to make everyone smile. My favorite thing he does is wake up in the morning and say, “Mom, did you miss me?” Every morning! I love it, and when I respond, “Yes Broden, I missed you.” The smile on is face is so sweet. It’s weird to think of him growing out of something so very sweet.

Everyone is good and healthy. John is awesome. I am me.
