Palm Springs here we come!!
We left our home at 1:30pm on Sunday and arrived at our hotel at 9:00 pm. Normally this drive is 4 1/2 hours, but traffic on the I15 was brutal. We pulled out the map and found an alternate route through Yucca Valley. We kind of loved this little town in the middle of nothing.

Monday, we woke early and headed out to the pool. I started to think that it was a good idea to have Canon lathered in sunscreen relaxing with me but it was way too hot for this little guy. After 30 minutes we went back inside for a much cooler vacation.
The rest of the crew stayed outside and enjoyed their vacation in the pool. From left to right: My niece Taylor, niece Brylee, soon to be brother in law Ike, Rylon, Jax, a slice of my nephew James' head, and my sister in law's ponytail, Amberly.
Tuesday we started out with breakfast on the balcony.I loved the balcony. I spent most of my time sitting out there watching people and reading.

We had a lot of visiting hours.....Left to Right: Carrie Jo (BF, who I have not seen in forever), James (nephew), Katie (sister), Mom, Bryan (brother), husband, and Broden.

Carrie Jo BeattySingle. Blonde hair. Green eyes. Tan. Masters degree. 1st grade teacher in San Diego. Beautiful. 33 years old. Just in case you know any hot single men or are a producer for the Bachlorette. Just sayin', she is a catch!! Must be interviewed by me first.
Ok so Carrie Jo was my best friend all through Junior High and High School.I have such fond memories of Carrie Jo. We did everything together. I even talked her into going on a 10 day road trip with me right after I bought my brand new Jetta. We went to Idaho, Utah, Vegas, Arizona, and California. I had the time of my life.
Shortly after our 10 day road trip, Carrie joined the Air Force and I moved to AZ, where I later met John and got married. I have seen Carrie twice since then for an hour here or there. Carrie came to the resort and spent the day with us. It was so good to see her and we plan on more get togethers.
Any of you who knew us then can see we still haven't changed much. We are the same goofballs and I absolutely love it.
Wednesday we ended our trip with a visit to the dinosaurs....(Here is our first family pic since Canon's birth. There is a lot of us.)
