I was reading Moroni chapter 10 and verse 32 caught my attention. Now let me clarify, I am not a scholar by any means, I just had a moment of hmmmmness that I am sharing.
So I read the verse and then wrote it out with the footnotes. So it looked a little something like this:
Yea, Come unto Christ (footnote: teachable), and be perfected in him (footnote: Spiritually reborn; worthiness), and deny yourselves of all ungodliness (perseverance); and if ye shall deny yourselves of all ungodliness, and love God with all your might, mind and strength (Commitment; dedication), then is his grace sufficient for you, that by his grace ye may be perfect in Christ (perfection); and if by the grace of God ye are perfect in Christ, ye can in nowise deny the power of God.
I just thought to myself, hmmmmm. If I have this desire to come unto Christ (which I do), then I need to be teachable and worthy. I need to persevere through life's challenges and commit myself to the process of being perfected in him.
Writing it out definitely gave me inspiration, insight and my semi-deep thought.
