Change is Good.....

Stake Conference hit home for me. During the conference I saw that Jax was listening intently to President Monson (broadcast).

I casually asked, "Do you know who that is?"
"YES!" Jax
"Who?" Me
"It's the prophet." Jax
"And his name is?" me
"President Thomas S. Monson" Jax
"What is he telling us to do?" me
"He wants everyone to pray and read their scriptures." Jax

Jax heard the prophet ask us all to pray and read and I'm glad we are doing that in our home. But, will there be a time when he will hear something in his class or through another talk that we might not be doing... I really hope not. So, I took some time yesterday evaluating our little lives in this home and what we have been asked to do. We have our weaknesses and our strengths, and changes and improvements will be good in our hood.

This conference had a lot to offer, but this was what stood out the most to me:

*Immerse!! Don't be a toe tester
*The Gospel is not a check list of Obedience
*Read and Pray (several reminders)
*Have a House of Order
*Steps to Coming unto Christ
*Avoid the pause

and finally....

*A testimony that these men are men of God and are truly inspired.

It was a really, really great conference.
