Conference...

I look forward to conference every 6 months. The one talk I read often is "Think to Thank" by President Monson in October 1998 - I remember being so touched by all the things I have to be thankful for. I never pass up the opportunity to thank people and my Father in Heaven for the ways I have been touched in my life.

Saturday was great, I was able to hear all the talks and loved everything that was shared. Sunday, however, was another story.

Eyrlin was up from 3-6AM throwing up. We finally get her to sleep when in walks Rylon, "I'm not feeling well." I grabbed the bucket we had by our bed for Eyrlin and round two began. Rylon threw up twice and then fell asleep around seven. Jax walked in at 7:30, "Mom, Dad I want breakfast." I looked at him and said I'll be down in a minute. The next thing I know it's 8:30am and I had obviously forgot about Jax. I jumped up ran downstairs to find Jax laying on the couch, "Mom, I've been waiting forever."

Everyone was up and breakfast was served. Conference started and we were all gathered around the TV...... LONG, LONG, LONG, story short.

We saw about 60 minutes total of both Sunday sessions. Between, Rylon not making it to the toilet for a number 2 and throwing up at the same time, and Eyrlin barfing every 10 minutes we were running around like crazy. Finally, second session starts and now I'm throwing up and Eyrlin is filling her diaper every 10 minutes.

I changed one of the many, many diapers of Eyrlin's. I never saw Rylon sitting on the toilet and throwing up into it at the same time. I never cleaned out the bucket of barf. John did it all!! As I would comfort, snuggle, reassure the kids that they would be OK, my husband was running around cleaning up the mess.

I am just so grateful we have the Internet!! I'm also grateful for my hubby, I usually am the cleaner and he is the comforter, but for whatever reason he jumped up and did what he felt needed to be done today.

John is just amazing and such a blessing. My life is forever changed for the better because of the man I am madly in love with.

Well, off to bed I have a feeling it's going to be another long night. Jax, Brod, and John have got to be next.

Where's the bucket??

Oh, that is terrible! I feel for you, you poor dear woman, sick kids and sick momma is a bad combo :( but good work Johnny! I'm impressed by your nursing skills. Remember that time you guys had a water drinking contest at the Etiquette Dinner and you barfed all over the church? Good times.

That is the worst. So nice that there were two grown ups home to handle it but seriously cleaning up/smelling barf and changing diapers when you're nauseated takes a truly iron mama (and dad.) Feel better soon! I love reading the talks on lds.org cause we usually have lots of "excitement" during live conference too.

Yikes! This kind of reminds me of the time when our entire family got violently sick on Thanksgiving (oh, and it was my birthday too).
