"I'm ready to go to church"...or...."My boogers are getting my makeup?"

My Sunday's are as follows: I wake up super early so I can put some finishing touches to my lesson. Read the Relief Society lesson and then be completely ready for church before John leaves for bishopric meeting. Then when the kids wake I'm ready to help them do whatever.

I was in the bathroom doing my hair when in came the saddest girl. Eyrlin has had a cold for a while and I thought she was past it but she was not. I tried to hug her, talk to her, anything to get her to be happy but nothing was working. I went and put her back in bed while I finished getting ready. Well, she fell back asleep and she was just burning up. At about 7:30AM I made the decision that we were not going to church. I worked out the sub arrangements and then put on my pj's and went down stairs to read for my few moments of peace.

I'm sitting there and suddenly I hear Eyrlin's door open. I only had a little left to read for my lesson the following Sunday so, I didn't get up and thought I would wait till she came downstairs. Ten minutes had past and she was still upstairs. I decided to go up and check on her. She greets me like this saying "I'm ready to go to church." I felt bad when I told her we weren't going. She lost it, tears and snot were running down her face. I finally had her calm and asked her if she was upset we weren't going to church. She said "No, my boogers are getting my makeup."

She is so funny!!!
